A series of pavilion-like structures forms this home, strung together in an arc that takes advantage of a 270-degree panorama of the San Juan Mountains. Exterior surfaces of the house echo the varied colors of Iron Mountain located directly behind the house. Sandstone block walls and custom copper roof shingles repeat the rich earth tones of the home’s surroundings.

A manufactured adaptation of this home’s copper singles are available from Summit Roofing affiliate Telluride Metalworks. “Palmyra” shingles are 10” x 31.5” with a 0.75” tab and weigh 2.5 pounds.
