This residential complex, inspired by the dilapidated remains of the original ranch buildings, features extensive use of recycled barn wood and a historic take on a modern roofing material -- Galvalume®, an aluminum-zinc alloy plated metal from Bethlehem Steel. Although the material is available and more often used in larger sheets, this roof was installed in panels only 10 feet long, historically, the longest metal roofing panel available. This added an unusual horizontal and historic seam detail.
