The natural Vermont slate used to roof and side this home displays countless shades of blue and gray. Each hand-finished shingle is unique. The result is rustic, old-world craftsmanship. Summit also installed a hydronic heat snowmelt system under the slate, extending up from the eaves and in roof valleys. The copper chimney cap and flashing around windows, chimney bases, and at eaves were also fabricated and installed by Summit.
